Gentle Birth Solutions
Who are We?
Colleen Colley - Labor/Birth Assistant - Gentle Birth Solutions Founder
Colleen is CAPPA trained as a Labor Assistant and she has participated in one on one instruction for prenatal massage. She attended infant massage classes with her own son and is now becoming an infant massage instructor. Colleen has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Washington. She has practiced yoga for over 6 years and is a trained dancer.
In her words: "I had a wonderful experience during the birth of my son mainly due to the encouragement and love I got from my labor assistants. Even though the birth didn't go exactly as planned, the knowledge I received prenatally and the coaching I got during the birth, helped me get through and added to my experience. "
Colleen's background in human movement, massage and yoga complements her Labor Doula work. She is now working on a prenatal yoga booklet to give to all the mothers.
The birth process is so remarkable, Colleen soon realized she wanted to help others strive to have the birth experience they'd always dreamed about.
