Gentle Birth Solutions

We offer loving support for the laboring woman which includes massage, coaching, breathing techniques and other comfort measures.  It starts with help putting together the birth plan and ends with a beautiful book with memories of the event. We stay with the woman throughout her labor and delivery and for as long as needed after birth offering our support.

Doula, is a Greek word for "woman's servant."  A birth doula  or Labor Assistant is a professionally trained companion that provides labor support through various means.  Her role is to give emotional and physical support to women and partners during labor and birth, as well as providing information. 

The doula offers help and advice on comfort measures such as breathing, relaxation, movement, positioning, and massage.

Doulas attend home births and hospital births, medicated births and unmedicated births.  Doulas can be the primary support for the mother, or can be an additional member of her existing labor support team.
